As Manufacturers Buckle, Winners Emerge from Havoc

As major furniture companies struggle or close across the country, the manufacturer Craftsmaster Furniture Inc. has increased revenues by 5 percent since January 2009. In 2006, the China-based furniture wholesaler Samson Holding Ltd. purchased Craftsmaster for its production facilities in the United States. Samson supplies fabric, wooden frames and other parts to Craftsmaster enabling Samson to tap the upholstery segment of the U.S. market, Craftsmaster to closely manage the supply chain and both to benefit from absorbing the dying competition.
